Chapter 9 & 10

I am selecting two of Katie Wood Ray’s questions that she asks herself when selecting texts for her students.
1. What do many of my students struggle with as writers?

This chapter, like chapter 7 invites us into Ray’s library. This time she gives us specific details and a name for these “wonderous ways with words”.

I can’t imagine being a teacher of writing and not being able to pull something of value from this article.
Instead of posing the classic, factual question, I would like to know something else. What did you highlight? Not so much physically highlight, but what stood out to you? What could you literally integrate into your
